Message gas that makes it advantageous for HP. Why not a different gas? I've seen diesels with air/diesel/propane fuel mixtures. My brother built a lawn mower that runs on hydrogen.

When other gases are readily available, why would the world use NOS instead of others? Is it the kinetic energy released, the stability of the gas, or some other thing?

I'm just thinking (I know, there you go thinking again.)
